Terms of Service

1. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use ClovaPicker. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information, and don't share, sell, or transfer your account. One account per person unless we say otherwise.

2. Invite-only access & referrals

During the beta, registration may require a valid invite code. Every account receives a personal referral code to share. Invite codes may grant benefits (for example, Premium access or a trial). Codes are non-transferable in spirit, may be limited in uses or expire, and may be revoked. Abusing invite codes (for example, mass-generating accounts) is prohibited.

3. Premium

Premium is currently free during the beta and is granted at our discretion (typically to invited or eligible accounts). Premium unlocks automatic fetching and verification of giveaway participants via the X/Twitter API. We are not collecting payment at this time. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we'll make that clear before any charge applies; any discounts referenced in the app have no cash value and apply only to future billing if and when it exists.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use ClovaPicker lawfully and fairly. You may not:

• run giveaways or contests that break the law, including sweepstakes, lottery, gambling, tax, or consumer-protection rules that apply to you;
• violate the X/Twitter Terms, Developer Agreement, or automation rules;
• use the service for spam, fraud, harassment, hateful or illegal content, or to deceive entrants;
• misrepresent giveaway rules, rig outcomes, or fail to deliver promised prizes;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape beyond provided features, reverse-engineer, or circumvent access controls, bans, or usage limits.

You are solely responsible for your giveaways — the rules, prizes, eligibility, delivery, disclosures, and legal compliance. ClovaPicker is a neutral tool that helps you pick winners; it is not the sponsor, promoter, or administrator of your giveaway.

5. Suspensions, bans & appeals

We may warn, limit, suspend, or permanently ban any account at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion — including without prior notice — to protect the service and its users. Where practical, a suspension will show a reason and, if temporary, an end time.

An administrator may set a number of suspensions after which a ban becomes permanent automatically. That number is not a right or a guarantee — it is only one of the ways a permanent ban can happen. Reaching fewer suspensions does not entitle you to continued access, and we may permanently ban an account regardless of its suspension count.

If your account is suspended, you may submit one appeal at a time from the suspension screen. Appeals are reviewed by staff at our discretion; a decision (accept or deny) is not guaranteed within any timeframe, and accepting an appeal reinstates access.

6. Your data & how we store it

To run the service we store, in a PostgreSQL (SQL) database on our hosting infrastructure:

• your email address;
• your password, stored only as a salted, hashed value (scrypt) — never in plain text;
• your role, Premium status, invite/referral relationships, and API-usage counters;
• giveaway history you create — including the tweet reference, requirements, the public @usernames of entrants you provide or that are fetched, and the winners;
• moderation records (suspensions, internal notes, and appeals).

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. The Twitter/X usernames handled by the service are already public identifiers on X. We do not sell your data. Deleting your account removes your account and its giveaway history from the database; backups (if any) age out over time. Internal moderation notes are visible to staff only and are never shown to the affected user.

7. Twitter / X

ClovaPicker is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by X Corp (Twitter). "X", "Twitter", and related marks belong to their owners. Premium features rely on the X API and are subject to X's terms, rate limits, pricing, and availability, which are outside our control.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Winner selection uses a cryptographically-random method, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that data will never be lost, or that any particular result, uptime, or outcome will be achieved.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClovaPicker and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or giveaway prizes, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, during the free beta, is US $0) or US $50.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClovaPicker and its operators from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your giveaways, your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use ClovaPicker after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
